We are located in the pleasant York suburb of WoodThorpe, less than a mile away from where the most famous Highwayman was hanged at Tyburn, next to the Knavesmire. Legend has it that on a quiet night, you can hear the clip-clopping of Turpin's Black Bess, before Dick glides quietly into a dark corner of the bar, to quench his ghostly thirst.

The spacious lounge has well spaced tables, and interesting shape features, allowing for easy conversation, and a private corner if you need it. There is plenty of free parking, friendly staff and locals, and a relaxed atmosphere.
